A New Laptop For Christmas

Last month was I think the worst month of my blogging career. I wasn't able to write at least one article for the whole month of July, would you believe it? A lot of things happened which affected my mood to write which left me with a lot of regrets. I should've spent my time, energy and emotions on my writing career instead something (or someone?) who is not worth it. I should've spent my spare time writing reviews and earn extra so I could soon buy a new Dell laptop computer instead of wasting my time in front of my computer doing nothing but check on my Facebook and Twitter accounts. I prefer to buy that brand because I've read a lot of positive Dell netbook review. I wish I could find an online store that gives out a Dell discount coupon or some product vouchers. My current laptop which is an Eee PC Asus is now acting up that's why I want to buy a new one. I guess I could only afford to buy one in December when our Christmas bonus will be released. Would definitely ask my computer geek best friend to accompany me when I already have the money to buy one.

Sleep Myths Debunked

MYTH: you wiill get sick if you don't get eight hours of sleep each night.
DOCTOR SAYS: No amount of sleep fits everyone, individual requirements vary. Some studies show sleeping more than eight hours a day can also be detrimental to your health. For some, five to six hours of sleep may be enough.

MYTH: Having poor sleep the night before will make you irritable.
I myself do experience that, if I wasn't able to sleep for at least six hours, I feel as if I'm floating on air and I cant think straight.
DOCTOR SAYS: Most patients can be functional even after a poor night's sleep. It is important not to attribute daily hassles with disturbed sleep. Initiative and motivation may be diminished, but actual performance and alertness may remain intact.

MYTH: Insomia is the cause of a chemical imbalance.
DOCTOR SAYS: Although this may have a valid contribution, dwelling and worrying about things you can't change will only increase anxiety.

MYTH: You can "make up" for lost sleep by napping, sleeping early, or waking up lte the next day.
DOCTOR SAYS: Varied times of sleep compensation are actually harmful to sleep habbits.

MYTH: If you try hard enough, you will be able to sleep.
DOCTOR SAYS: The more you try, the more anxious you get, and the more likely you won't be able to sleep.

In our fast changing world, it is necessary that we are always prepared. Natural calamities such as typhoon, earthquake, tornados and the like strikes us when we least expect it and there are also a number of household emergencies that occur at home. We need to make sure that when these emergencies occur, we're prepared for it especially for the sake of the little ones. For business owners, it is also necessary to make sure that your employees are equipped with all necessary protective gears especially if you are in a construction business. Boredom Busters

It's been quite a while since I last updated this blog. I've been through a lot these past few weeks and I didn't have the jive to write. Is that what they call writer's block? I guess so. Anyways, everything is now going pretty well and I'm so happy that I was able to get over of whatever that is that's making me feel miserable. I started going to the gym and vowed to spend at least two hours in the gym to attain my ideal goal of 130 lbs in December.  I need to lose weight not only to look good but also for health purposes. Things are going well in the office as well, since the IT people changed our office firewall, we were not able to surf the internet anymore but what's good is that we were able to get a proxy server which will allow us to still pull up websites. It really eases our boredom especially if there's not much calls are coming in. My favorite site is Brainist - a site where you could play multiple brain games, brain tests and strategy games. Not only is it very enjoyable, I also was able to test knowledge about certain topics which will greatly improve one's mental wellbeing. What's good about the site is that it's 100% free. Since I've discovered this site, my officemates started to get addicted to it. LOL.
