Health and Fitness

It's been three months now since I first decided to cut down my weight. I wanted to do this for health reasons as well as for overall beauty purposes. I want to look good and be able to wear nice clothes and I also wanted to make sure that my health is at it's best state. I also wanted to be a mother soon and I believe that it would be harder for obese people to conceive. I don't want my weight to be a hindrance for my happiness.

Anyways, I already lost 13 pounds for the last three months. I know it isn't much, I myself is wondering why I wasn't shedding much weight though I've been working out almost everyday for two hours minimum. It's like I only lost 5 pounds per month, not bad but far from what I expected. Maybe because I am still eating a lot at that time. I eat almost two cups of rice every meal and I still drink softdrinks after each meal. I guess I've learned my lessons. Three months of gym subscription has ended and as I renew my subscription...I would make sure that this time I would make sure that in three months, I would be able to shed at least twenty pounds.

My friend Odie, who used to be a gym instructor before told me to eat a lot of protein to boost metabolism. He also said that I need to cut down rice consumption. I really adore him for taking care of his body. He does have a great abs and strong arms. He once told me that he is taking Anadrol. I asked him once if he is not afraid of taking in drugs such as that and he told me that he never take any drugs without the knowledge of his physician. He is also taking considering taking a certain pill called winstrol, a kind of anabolic steroid.

As of this time, I am working out three times a week, eats half a cup of rice every meal, drinks green tea after each meal and makes sure that I do have at least one physical activity everyday. I pray that this time, I would be able to achieve my ultimate weight goal.

A Gift of Hearing

At 65, I'm very proud to say that my mom still looks 50. She is still very healthy and still was able to go to the mall alone, go to Church activities every other day and still have time to visit us every week. I adore her energy and her outlook in life. She is indeed enjoying her life to the fullest. There is only one thing the concerns me, she is now having difficulty hearing. You need to really speak louder for her to be able to understand what you are saying. Good thing, I do have a strong voice so conversing with her is a breeze, but how about others who are not aware of her condition? How would they react if my mom was not able to respond to what they are saying?

One of these days, I'll gonna buy her one of those hearing aids to help her hear better. I believe there's also what they call digital hearing aids which is a more advanced type. I'm yet to decide as to what to buy. I guess I need to accompany her first to a specialized clinic to have her hearing tests done first to know what would best suit her needs. I hope through my own little way of helping her with her hearing problem, I can express my deep love for her.

Alternative Medical School

School year is almost over and thousands of high school students are now preparing to enter College. There are a lot of options of what College course to take but for me personally, Medicine is the closest to my heart. I don't know but there is something about helping people the draws me near to that field. I took Engineering during my college days but I also remember asking my mother if I could shift to Nursing on my second year. She didn't agree to the idea and said that I should just finish what I started. So here I am, though I don't regret anything in my life...I still often think of what might've been if I followed my heart in finding the best career for me.

With that in mind, I tried searching for the best medical school available. Who knows, I might end up studying again. I was surprised to see that there is an alternative medicine school located in Arizona that offers courses in natural medicine and holistic health. It really caught my attention as this is the first time I've heard of such course in medicine. Naturopathic medicine is what they call it, it is an alternative medical system that focuses on natural remedies and the body's vital ability to heal and maintain itself. So there is really a scientific basis that body does have it's own healing powers. I can't help but stand in awe and wonder how God made our bodies so powerful that it can even heal itself. I wish I can still go to some naturopathic college so I could learn more about our own body's healing powers.
